Australian Shepherds are known for striking coat colours. Black and red are the two base colours, while the merle pattern creates mottled areas that can make every puppy look wonderfully unique.

White and copper markings may appear in different places and amounts. These markings do not determine a puppy's temperament, intelligence, or suitability for a particular family.

Health, structure, personality, and responsible breeding decisions should always matter more than choosing a puppy for colour alone.
